Which .pdf document contains the new features of OS 3.1.0? Quick Start, Parameter or Operation Guide? I want to check out the new way to create
Combinations.
Thanks!

neither.
You have to dig around the site to find the 8 page pdf explaining 3.1.
I also recall linking it here , early on, day 1 or 2 when it was made available
Operation Guide and Parameter Guide have both been updated for 3.1; not sure if these are available yet, but I'll try to confirm.

Both PG and OG manuals have been updated and are part of the ZIP file that comes with the 3.1 upgrade.

This is what I was going to say. I believe the .pdf is the only update. I'm sure they'll include it in the manual at some point.

The new OG and PG have the E10 suffix in their PDF file names.

If I'm happy with my Kronos as is (version 2 I think) do you guys think I should update?

hard to say. It appears you are not interested in the 3rd party sample libs which require more current OS versions

It's very intuitive. If you can't find the documentation, check out these videos:

You might want to wait on updating to 3.1, because of some new bugs. I have it and I really like the new layering/splitting feature.
Regarding 3.0, that one is quite stable and introduces:
Touch and Drag, so you can connect MOD-7 or MS-20 patch cables, just by dragging them.
New Setlist options to change colors and font sizes.
Edit a single program while in combi or sequence mode. Something I often use.
Meter Levels show you which programs are making sounds in combis and songs. Very cool.
Vintage Effects (from EP-1) are now added to the IFX list to be used for all programs.
Find function allows you to quickly search for a program, song, sample, etc.
Of course, support for the SGX-2 pianos and some other functions.

Thanks, Denny. Just to clarify, that split/layer tutorial was made by Enigmahack. I'm just linking to it.

Could you elaborate more on what that feature is?

You can see it demonstrated in both of the above videos. Basically, SPLIT and LAYER buttons are added to the main Program (and Combi) screen. Press LAYER and you have the option to mix in a second program, with KARMA and with IFX. If you like it, you press SAVE to make a Combination.
The advantage is that you you don't have to do any extensive programming to hear or make some nice combos. Combi creation was often a big undertaking. This really simplifies the process. You can make several combis in mere minutes.
