Kronos freeze up in the middle of sequencing??

My Kronos 2 Platinum Edition froze up today right in the middle of recording a drum track sequence. I had no choice but to shut down and lose all my previously recorded sequencer data. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon??

Others can give a better answer, but i will try.
I think the very nature of KRONOS bieng basically a computer (pc)
makes it a little prone to freeze up from time to time.
From personal experience my KRONOS has froze up at least 10 times in just over 2 years of owning it.
Each time i was doing something in sequencing mode.
In other modes i have never had it freeze.
Of course i have made just about every synth i have owned that had a sequencer freeze at some point at least once or twice.
I have gotten into the habit of saving sequences frequently.
I do not think there is anything to worry about, unless it is happening alot.
I do hope others will comment on this, as i am not very knowledgable on the electronic inner workings of KRONOS.

I got to thinking about it after I made the post, and realized that almost everything made nowadays has some kind of cpu or computer inside of it. Even my smartphone has occasionally frozen up where I had to reboot it. Everything appears to be working properly now, although I noticed after I rebooted that one of my sampled programs AND the combi I made from that both disappeared into the ether as if they had never been. Fortunately, though, I had saved the samples to disk so I was able to recreate the program and the combi.
I do note that it froze on me when I was attempting to record the drum track that gets automatically assigned when you copy the combi to the sequencer mode window. That is usually on channel 10. Don't know if that is a factor or not, but, I'm going to try it again and save before I attempt to add the drum track. If it happens again, I'll know there's an issue with that.
If anyone else has any ideas, please feel free to post. Thanks.
How to help from preventing freezes in sequencer mode

I had a lengthy post on this a few years back, but the basic rule is save after each edit no matter how small it is. If you wait for a freeze to occur, the cause might be in the last edit you performed so it may continue to freeze. Korg support told me to load a GM sequence and then reload the last save of your own sequence. Not sure why, but it also seems to help.

Possibly ram error, overheating cpu due to poor thermal contact or overheating SSD harddrive. I know this is above and beyond manufacture or repair center knowledge base. But it's worth looking into. All SSD drives operate at different temps. So if you choose SSD replacement could have faster boot, operation and cooler peek performance. The ram most likely is at the edge of latency and stability operation. The Heatsink has thermal tape and could use arctic silver compound for better passive cooling solution contact. Also I have yet to research but the alloy heatsink is not ideal and may have copper better conducting replacement.

Well, I shouldn't be having that issue on a brand new unit! Aside from that, it hasn't happened a second time (as of yet) and I don't want to void my warranty by opening it up. If it becomes a regular issue, I'll send it to a Korg service center and have it repaired by a professional.

Make sure you have the latest OS.

Should be 3.1.2, should it not? Already updated to that before the freeze happened.

YES! Doubt it happens again. I have owned a Kronos for over 3 years and mind froze 1 time.

I just locked mine twice today by using the COPY FROM COMBI command in SEQ mode. I was using MULTI REC and some of the channels had either a KARMA or a DRUM TRACK going on them.
