Replicating all my setups & patches on a new Kronos 2

I purchased my original Kronos 88 within a month of it being released. It is hands down the most versatile keyboard in my studio, and the best all around keyboard I've ever owned. I upgraded the ram & hard drive , so it is equal to the Kronos II on a hardware level.

I've just purchased a Kronos II 88 so I can leave the original Kronos at one geographic location, and the new one in my studio. I'm picking it up next Tuesday (6 days from now).

I've got zillions of customized setups, sets, samples, and sounds that took me countless hours to work up.

I realize I can just backup my old Kronos sound banks, sets, and samples and import into the new one, but will a complete import eliminate the new sound banks on my new Kronos 2?

Anyone have advice on replicating my original Kronos patches, setups, and samples onto the Kronos 2 but not obliterating the new sound banks?

Furthermore, I'll be working predominantly with the Kronos 2 doing future patchwork. I'll need any changes made transported to the old one via USB stick backups (of course except for the new sounds banks). Should I just get the new banks added to my original Kronos so they are basically identical software wise?

Thoughts? Thx!

I also have 2 Kronos (both have additional memory and a hard disk). One is at the studio, the other at home. To fully synchronize both tools, you need:

1. Place files and folders on the HDD of both tools in the same order, with the same naming.

2. Create an empty directory (For example: "!STUDIO") on the first tool, in which you save all the information. Save using the "Save All" function (before this, the tool on which you are saving should be fully ready for operation, ie the necessary files are loaded - * .PCG, * .KSC, * .SEQ, * .KGE. You should have in that folder - 7 items:

- "STUDIO" - folder
- "STUDIO_A" - folder
- STUDIO.KGE - file
- STUDIO.KSC - file
- STUDIO.PCG - file
- STUDIO.SNG - file
- STUDIO_UserBank - file.

3. Copy the folder "! STUDIO" (which contains all these 7 elements) on the USB flash drive. Transfer this folder to the second Kronos. Download from this folder (from the hard disk of the second Kronos) file STUDIO.PSG. When downloading - check the checkboxes "Load Studio.SNG too", "Load Studio.SEQ too", "Studio.KGE too"; "PCG content = All".

4. On both KRONOS in global mode on the tab "KCS Auto-Load" - Must be given a link to the same file in the folder "!STUDIO" - STUDIO_UserBank.KSC.

All! Now you have both Kronos - synchronized. I have a few years thus synchronize the two Kronos. If you do not use the mode SAMPLING - in general, problems do not arise. When you transfer sampler data (file *.KSC) - there may be problems. Be careful with the file systems on both Kronos - they should be the same.

And more Nuance. If you buy additional libraries (EXs format), will need to buy each 2 pieces. Library in the format "KRS" - one copy is enough for both KRONOS.

You need to purchase the K2 libraries for your original Kronos. They are tied to the public ID for each machine. Make sure all the banks are in the same location for each machine. Then you can copy the PCGs from one machine to the other.

If he copies information as I indicated above, then nothing needs to be done on the new machine (all banks will be the same).

Towards the end of his post he mentions wanting to be able to use Patches from the Kronos 2. That is what I was referring to.
