Is anyone else having this problem? Sometimes when I hit my flats, they drag down the surrounding natural notes. I can easily snap them back in position, but just as easily, as I am playing, they can slip down, off track and drag the surrounding white keys with them. Not only do they take them with them, but they also stay down stuck. I filmed a video last night at my gig, to demonstrate what is going on. I can't imagine this to be a problem with a weighted or semi weighted keyboard. Seems to me that there is a defect in the synth action. I paid for a 2-year Repair Protection Plan. I will reach out to my local repair shop, which was indicated to be a Korg approved repair dealership, Bronens on Webster Avenue in the Bronx, NY. Tomorrow since both they and the Carle Place Guitar Center dealership (where I bought the keyboard) are closed today, Sunday. Just curious to see if anybody else had this problem and what was done about it. Korg advisors, feel free to weigh in

Keys that do that are likely broken. I've had the K61 for over four years wth no such problem. I also service keyboards (not Korg) and whenever I see a problem like this it's usually something broken.

Take it to a shop.

I had a simular situation happen after I upgraded my hard drive in my old 1st gen K1 2012. Then took it back apart, loosen the key bed, unplugged / replug a few cables. Slapped it all back together and all was good.

Thank you. This has frustrated the crap out of me, having to snap the keys back in place during gigs. I bought the 2-year protection plan and figured I better take advantage of it. The only thing I fear is the shop holding it for an extended period. Very busy the next few weeks and I want to take care of this

I actually find my flats on the 61 to have a similar ebony feel of a piano - certainly textured anyway, unlike other 61's. They should certainly hold their alignment though; is this not the M3 keybed? By that I mean it's not a cheapo by any means - it reminds me of my Trinity when it was new - now that thing clunks like a horse due to the 'felt' and aftertouch is unusable because it's 'on or off' now.... I should refurb it - or just get the rack now I suppose?

Thank you, but I took it to be repaired. Turned out there were some broken keys that needed to be replaced. I took it to Bronen's, an authorized Korg repair shop and it turned out that the hooks on the ends of several flat keys were broken when the keyboard fell off of my cart. It was in a road case, mind you, so despite the protection you would think that would provide, the jarring broke a half dozen flats. I only noticed the problem with two of them comma but the repairman said as long as we had the keyboard open, let me replace all of them. I used it last night on a gig and it was back to normal. Thank you for weighing in.
