Is the lighting on the Kronos white or blue?

Mines white. However, LEDS tend to have a blue tint and certain pictures seem to look more blueish than others. In person, it looks white.

Depends with what kind of eyes you're looking at it...

White LEDs are actually blue LEDs with a yellow phosphor added, the idea being that the mixture of blue and yellow looks white. This is why many people perceive them as looking blue-ish.

In photos, also depends on the white balance of the camera that took the picture, and the white point of the display that's displaying it.

It's White - but it's the same 'white' that illuminates your phone and probably your PC monitor; its 'Blue/White' or 'Natural' white in that it's supposed to be more like daylight than the glow from a bulb - which it is. It's also quite damaging to the eyes (I'm not saying the button LEDs are but the wavelength of LED backlighting inhibits the body's production of Melatonin (a chemical produced to tell the brain it's time for sleepies - UV rays pass through your eyelids in the morning and the body produces Seratonin - a chemical that tells the brain it's time for wakies, it also acts as a stimulant or mood enhancer, which is why we're all happy and jolly on a bright summer day. One of the reasons people suffer from SAD, less sun, less Seratonin, more glum. SSRI's used as anti-depressants (amongst other things) reduce the body's re-uptake of Seratonin and can in fact therefore boost it making for more happies than saddies. In a nutshell - KORG wants you to be happy, alert and blue-white raving holy when you play with it's knobs.

It's a horrible shade of white, it's not black and white this topic, more of a blue-white, or blight, is the simple answer, but better than the white you'd get from mixing red, green and blue light - you'd be surprised at the nasty sh1t goes into some components to make them alwight. Or maybe not. So yeah, there you have it - about 250 words where 10 would suffice... I always try to dish out a little bit of crap with every response; we're never too old to learn - it's just some of us didn't learn when to STFU and FO.

Yeah, so they're white. In the (B)loosest sense of the word. Which a subtle hint of carroty undertone.

That explains why I am always so happy when I am sitting at my Kronos!
