Yamaha arranger for Ipad works perfectly very good addition to Kronos .
@leonh: that's interessting, where did you find this arranger app from Yamaha?

I experimented with the two apps I found so far, that can read and play Yamaha-Styles: "MidiBand" and "AAccompanist".
AAccompanist has more features and better support (it was just updated 1 week ago).
But for my usage, setup and handling are to cumbersome, at this stage of developement.
Good for experimentation, but for serious work I ended up buying a Yamaha PSR-670 arranger as an addition to Kronos, which is an incredible machine at this pricerange.
Best regards, Robert

If you have sharp eyes a 10.5" screen may be okay. From my experience so far my next iPad will definitely a 12.9" version.
I am using an iPadAir (10.5") for 3 years now and reading lot of scores (forScore). As Amit wrote, bigger screen is better here.
And while using apps like Garageband and Cubasis, with lots of information and possibilities on just one page, I am getting a cramped feeling very quickly.
Best regards, Robert

Cool, thanks. Yes i made up my mind on the 12.9". Tuesday is the day:)

Do you guys prefer using a mount with the kronos or an ipad stand? I plan to buy the smart keyboard with it which is already a hybrid stand.

Okay, I know this one, great sequencer and for free.
Maybe I am wrong, but as I understand the question, the search is for an app with realtime-arranger capabillities, like the in Yamaha Tyros or Korg PA-Series.

I use a tablet holder for mounting on a microphone-stand, very flexible and secure.
If you want to use the smart keyboard at any time you will need of course another solution.

There is no perfect arranger for Ipad, unfortunately.
The ones that are there don't work that great.

If you are on pc/mac/rasberrypi look into 1ManBannd

http://www.1manband.nl I think is the url.

Beware expecting to rig up iPad for active realtme performance control via the touch screen.
You are more likely to crash Kronos or the iPad if you actively use the Touch screen during performance , but at the very least there are clicks or pops that happen when switching apps or functions over the touch screen of iPad.
I crashed Kronos on day one with iPad Pro hooked up via lightning to USB-B midi+audio port of kronos. I had not crashed Kronos since the onece or twice i did since i first got mine. And those were relaed to bugs that have been cleared up with the latest kronos OS updates.

I am using iPad Pro for exactly what i wanted and my needs only require setting up iPad and the various apps to run with kronos over the single midi+audio USB cable, i then leave the iPad and focus only on Kronos control plus my DR.880 control. I only use the iPad touch screen to set up the next performance when no audio is active between iPad and Kronos.

Maybe some apps will be more forgiving and possibly apps like Midi designer where audio is not part of the mix but it could be an issue if it runs together with an app that does use kronos USB line for audio.
I am not sure if using an audio line from iPad headphne out will solve the audio pop and click issue but you can diable audio from USB in Kronos and try runnning a line from the iPad headphone jack to see if it makes a difference.

Again, some apps work better with kronos and some do not work well.

It’s better to know what side effects you could be facing with the type of work you want to get out of apps on iPad being paired with Kronos.
