PA 1000 global button

I just got a new PA1000 4 days ago and enjoy it very much. I have an issue with the Global button: after hitting it, selecting Mode Preferences, and exiting, when I reopen this section, I always land on Mode Preferences, and I cannot access other options such as General Control or Controllers...
My question to the experts you all are is: is this an OS issue, a motherboard issue or did I miss something?
