It appears the Korg UK has also just put up a downloadable soundset for the MS-20

MS20 Sounds by Apollo 440
New Bank of Legacy/MS20 sounds by Apollo 440

"The Korg Legacy is so much fun!! We've owned the original Korg MS20 since the 70's and used it with our Korg SQ-10 analogue sequencer on loads of records and remixes. Nothing quite sounds like it! We also love the MS2000R which has a smoother sound and MIDI-accurate sequencing possibilities. But the Legacy got us to dig out the old Patches we'd written over 20 years ago! The sounds we've put in the MS-20_Apollo440 Bank includes some of these, as well as brand new sounds and edits of library patches. That's the point with this great new piece of kit - you can get your hands dirty really easy! Edit ready-made programs or start from scratch. The controller feels just like the original and going back to patch cords was so cool! We hope you enjoy these sounds - and if you haven't got a Legacy then what are you waiting for - just get one!"

It looks like they've redesigned the KorgUser.net site and they've added a bunch of fxb patches for MS-20, polysix, wavestation and legacy cell.

theres also some technical documents on there, one of which fixed my problem that i've been having ever since i switched to OSX Tiger:

And of course they have links back to this forum... 8)

Yes, we finished rewiting the page. :)

The problem you mentioned is completely fixed in the latest products (KLC-DIGITAL EDITION, KLC-ANALOG EDITION and KLC-Virtual MS-20), we also plan to release the updater for current KLC users. Please wait for a while...

Please remind that you cannot access to the member's page directly, you have to login from the top page to see them.

We think this forum is very important for us. Some FAQs are written by seeing your posts. Things about installation and USB key are explained for the public. (Please find "USER SUPPORT" in the top page.)

Thank you for your support!!

Greetings Masanao,
I've just picked up and installed my Korg Legacy Collection. I'm quite impressed. Registration and licencing are complete and I've updated the latest version.
I noticed from the download page, some extra sounds from Devine. Excuse me if I'm asking a simple question that the manual can explain, but should I save the factory banks before attempting to call up new sounds? Can I swap sounds without loading an entire bank? etc.
Thanks for you help.
Cheers,
Eric

You can swap sounds between two or more LegacyCells. For example, in the host application, you can set up two LegacyCells and copy the program by drag and drop as well as copy-paste (right click the program name in the list). Then you can save it as bank file (*.fxb).

If you want to use it as your default bank, put it in the same directory as LegacyCell.vst (for Mac) or LegacyCell.dll (for Win).

Thanks Masanao,
I noticed that the fxb files for the factory presets are all in their respective folders. I had no problem pointing to my new folders for the Devine material. This software is very nicely laid out and quite intuitive.

I hope to have the Digital Edition shortly. Can both editions co-exist or run at the same time? Can instances of DE operate at the same time as instances of KLC in the stand alone versions?

Cheers,
Eric

Just picked up my DE today and have answered my own question. I can have both editions open and running - no problem and very interesting results. I'm driving them in stand alone version for now with my Karma and the mini MS20 Controller.

Legacy is a great addition to EJ2 - Double EJ Projects.

Way to go Korg!!! =D>
Cheers,
Eric

Thanks! Greatly appreciated!
Yes, you can install the both KLC-1 and KLC-DE at the same time. MDE-X and WAVESTATION will be upgraded to the latest version.

I have a hot news today. We will upload the next sound program set for KLC-1 users within 24 hours. Please enjoy!!

A question regarding the updates for MAC users: are the updates from 1.1.4 on reserved to OS X 10.4 users only?

The latest update (v1.1.7) can be applied to Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later. I recommend to use 10.2.8 or 10.3.9 or 10.4.4 that means the latest (or the final) version of each Mac OS X release.

download speeds

Just tried to download the latest update for stand alone verion of klc-de and found that the download speed is very slow again. I have a broadband connection so should be faster. Its downloading at about 15 kb/sec . When I tried to download the vst version before it was the same and then a mirror download site was put up that was much faster. Where is this link gone. As its going to take me over an hour to download otherwise.

confused with the updates

Greetings all,
I'm back home to my main studio which includes my Legacy collections. However, it's been 5 + months and I need to update my software for both the original edition and the digital edition. I notice from the KorgUser site that there are a number of new downloads available since I left in November 2005. I'm confused with which ones I should be installing and, in the process, deleting old versions. Can anyone provide me with the skinny on what I need to do?
Cheers,
Eric

Original, stay with 1.16 until bugs from 1.18 are fixed. DE, install 1.2.
