WOW! I've been out of town and away for a while only to pop back in here with almost perfect timing. Sharp! You're awesome! I've just DL'd and unzipped the files and I'm now scratching my head wondering what to do next. LOL! I've just acquired a Mac G5 Quad with Logic Pro, FinalCut Studio and I'm switching from the PC world. I know the Mac has nothing to do with the Oasys (yet) but all this new tech is a bit overwhelming (New Hardware AND Software in a Mac world.) I assume that I am to load the KSC's into the O and start tweaking them correct? How about a crash course?

Hi Duke.

Yes, load OASYS1.KSC first, then using the Append option, load OASYS2.KSC into memory also. This should successfully merge both sets together.
You won’t need to edit any of this sample data, all you need to do is assign them to program sounds, and ….create.
People who are not up to speed on programming can select existing programs on their OASYS, and change the OSC’s to point to the new sample data. This will give you a good head start, and all is left to do is put your only idea’s behind the filters and effects setup.
In short anything goes so long as it’s new.
Kind Regards.

Frankly, I haven't a clue about sampling and distributing sounds across the keys, but I would surely love to get a few of my own V-Synth XT designs into the OASYS.

Hi Eric.
If I can be of any help on sampling ever, just let me know.
Kind Regards.

Hi Sharp,
My experience with sampling is very limited and dates back to the time of my long-since-gone Akai 612. I just couldn't get things as I wanted. So, I stuck with programming synths and ignored samples and sampling.
I think I can resample in my V-synth XT, but I wouldn't know what to do from there to get it into my OASYS. I'm not familiar with Korg's KSF files or KMP or whatever the appendage is. I could also try sampling directly into the O from the audio outs of the XT. But then again, I'd be lost with mapping etc.
This is an area I should have gotten into quite some time ago.
Thanks,
Eric
