The V Synth uses a proprietary method to process your sample, for its elastic audio capability. It stretches the sample across the range, so I don't think that it even multi-samples. The OASYS uses a straight forward multi-sampling sampling method, so I doubt your data would be compatible.

EJ2 wrote:I could also try sampling directly into the O from the audio outs of the XT. But then again, I'd be lost with mapping etc. This is an area I should have gotten into quite some time ago.
This is preferred. What's stopping you from starting, again?

Anyway… at least it’s finally online. So the plan right now ?
Start downloading, and I’ll give anyone interested in taking part in this project the password that unlocks the zip file.

I'd also like the pwd for the zip file. It'll be a couple of weeks before I'll have much time to do anything but listen to the zips (we're berthing a new radio show...a real time hog), but then I'd like to dive in.

And thanks for all your time. Dial-up is such a RPITA. How'd we ever live with 300bps?

Cheers,
bc

Uh sorry Sharp but I still have to get the password. I've been waitin' for it before proceeding with the download.
Should I do the download and then I'll get the password?
Please forgive if I misunderstood.

Sharp,

Sorry if you already have said this, but what is the source of your samples? I'm curious to know if they are other synths, real instruments, etc.

I'd be interested in participating in the project. Though I don't think I'd be churning out a large number of patches, I'd be happy to put some effort and detail into a few to contribute.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi Mark.
Sorry if you already have said this, but what is the source of your samples? I'm curious to know if they are other synths, real instruments, etc.
The majority of it’s all from my own private collection and from various projects I worked on.

There’s a lot of new data I never released before, some Vocal Assault ( www.irishacts.com ) sounds that where also never release as part of the original project, enhanced source files from the VL Project, a few interesting multisamples from the Alchemist Project, and a few other sources.

So all in all, it’s mostly my private stock.

Outside that, there’s a very small selection of sounds converted from S5000 format to KORG format that I took from a free AKAI FTP server that used to be online a few years back.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Hi Sharp. I've finally gotten to listen to most of your material. I got my second gig in today and now have space to play. You've got a wide variety of samples!

I'm starting to play around with a few things and have a patch or two that are at least marginally at sharing quality. Nothing terribly special yet - my patches are just sort of polished versions of your samples. I hope to be able to dig in deeper soon.

Did we ever get the procedure sorted out for uploading? I looked in the downloads section and still didn't see an Oasys section. When I have something a little more substantial to contribute, where should I set them?

Thanks again for all your work,
TJ

Rodrigo,

These are specifically for the Oasys, not the TR series. Have you checked the download section of this site? There are a bunch of other things you can load.
