1. Over at your OASYS station, (I think) I recognize the Ultimate Support Systems tiers holding your Radias and MS2000, but what brand/model do you have the OASYS sitting on?
That's a QuikLok WS550 :

2. What brand\model is your computer desk? Are the monitor tier, speaker stands and lights all part of the same product line?
Ah, my beloved Ikea Jerker. I bought that back in the UK a fair while ago, but I think they still sell it. The monitor tier came with it and the speakers stands were an add-on you could buy. They are perfect for putting monitor speakers as you can position those side shelves at whatever height you like and you can also move them to orient the speakers towards you. I have the perfect listening position for mixing. The lights came from good old trusty Home Depot here in the US.

3. What brand\model is supporting your Kurz K2661?
That's the baby brother of the stand my Oasys is on IIRC. It's a QuikLok WS540 :

The great thing about these stands for keyboard is that you can get legs/feet under there with smacking your shins on a piece of metal or worse knocking the whole thing over. I don't like the X type stands for that reason.

My studio is always tidy like that ... but the rest of my house is a total f**king disaster

It's all about getting your priorities right.

Thanks so much to everyone for your kind comments and for taking an interest in my stuff
Peter and Eric ... trust me when I am finally 100% happy with my music ... you won't be able to come to the forum without reading about in every thread

In the meantime my modesty is only fitting

Been busy, but I finally went over and read the interview. I liked it, very much! Some similar parallels with my own experience. Daz started with the DX-21, but wanted the analogue sound. I started with the DX7, but also wanted the analogue sound. I did stick with the FM long enough to start cajoling those kinds of sounds out of it, but it required more oscillators to sound good.
Depeche Mode is also my favorite musical group. Martin Gore has been a big influence, for me, but so were the synth and beat rhythms of Alan Wilder.
Peter, I like the new pics that you put up, which really spices up your site. Nice!

I want to thank all (!!!) of you for the very nice feedback and of course "the dirty hand in the engineroom" for being my first victim.
Obviously Depeche Mode influenced a lot of us. I like them since their time with Vince Clarke and his first Yazoo record was a very good one in my opinion by the way... but his records afterwards.. anyway. "Ultra" is my favourite DM record which is quite unusual what I have heard from others.
Concerning the pictures.. <coughing> ... I would have liked to get more pictures from my "guests"

... in other publications I am asking if I am allowed to publish them - thanks to Brandon, by the way!
Next interview is ready and will go online on Sunday, but it will be in German only. My guest will "talk" a little bit about the way how he solved the problem with a singer....
.. there was no gun used, by the way!

@Peter: One more time congrats to you for this Oasys-Blog. I'm glad that after a short brake due to your "ill" Oasys you came back and I'm no longer the first and last member in your Austrian-Oasys-Club.
CU (PS: the monitor stands have arrived on time

Reading the interview, it seems we have the exact same influences as to what we were listening in the 80s and early 90s. Joy Division, Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode...
And now, I also use a Quiklok WS-550 and Ikea Jerker.
Daz, stop copying your big brother !

Hey Peter,
I very much enjoyed the 2 new interviews ... great stuff.
Synthia is great ... her enthusiasm is infectious and it's great to see someone getting such a thrill from their kit. I identified with a lot of her comments about music and sound, and it was interesting to read more about her.

Fabulous quote from Andreas Ecker :
"Music makes me happy, it helps me to keep my soul in balance and there is always something new to discover. Music is mystic, communication with the unknown, a parallel universe which reflects our life and makes us complete."
That really resonated with me.
