@Peter: it was my pleasure - and I learnt quite a bit about myself due to reflecting my working-style in a written form.

@RC: I cleaned it up for the pictures! Well, thanx for looking at the interview - I believe Peter will have an English version within the next weeks - looking forward to your feedback! :D

Hi Peter and Charlie,

I really enjoyed reading Charlies Interview. Now I'm glad that I'm German so I can read all the German interviews :)

Charlie mentions the D-50,that's my favourite old Roland ever.I still have mine.I managed to program some cool stuff many years ago.Now I forgot how I did all that  Getting old.

Charlie,Your studio looks very nice and spacious. All so clean that puts me to shame.Very interesting reading about all your recording procedure, very professional.

Thank you for your kind words, Synthia - and I have to admit I did not recall your German roots.
Regarding the D50 it's the same over here: I couldn't program it as well as I used to several years ago. And on the other hand the Oasys offers so many programming possibilities one doesn't even know where to start!

Hi Charlie,

Yeah,I was born in Hannover many years ago but moved to the UK 25 years ago.
I still miss the German food specially the bread.I hate english bread.

I agree with you about the OASYS.Sometimes I stay away from OASYS on purpose and play my "normal" synths because the OASYS is just so full of stuff. There is so much on the OASYS that it takes me half an hour or so to decide which synth engine to use etc.But when I get back on it then it surprises everytime with it's incredible beautiful sounds.Nothing beats that quality. :)

I agree on both - the bread and the Oasys quality!

The translation is already in work. As soon as I get it and have the time I will publish it on the blog.

Peter, thanks for the translation of that interview!!
blogasys: I don’t want to know how many people work like you on the Oasys.
Ha ha! I love that line. Was Charlie being too detailed about his composing for you? :D

Charlie, that was very cool of you to thank me, so "thank" you! Very interesting that you made programs for the Roland D-50. Did you do that for other synths?

Like you, I'm going to have to get the computer involved for the KARMA OASYS software. User GEs should be very productive.

no.

Actually I was asking him to describe the process as detailed as possible and as detailed as he wants.

My way of working is completely different, therefore Charlie and I will give a collaboration a try  .. to learn from each other.

Yeah - it's all Peter's fault!!!

@Mike: You're welcome - you have no idea how much time you've saved me with your videos, postings and tipps!
Thanx for reading through this looooong description. Actually I was asking Peter, who will ever read that much - but after all it was a good experience to reflect your own composing in written form - and some people even seem to read it ...
And no - I didn't do any other soundprogramming. And I doubt I will take the time for it on the Oasys, as there are already so many great sounds available (including Karo) (yeah - I know - shame on me  ). At least right now I like spending the time for writing and composing. There's already enough technical stuff to take care of.
Right now I'm typing on my brandnew iMac 24' and a nice Karma Logo smiles at me. So much for "technical stuff to take care of" ...
