A new interview is online - Frank Kleinwaechter aka "automix".
http://blog.petermmahr.com/?p=117

Anyone who knows the Chapman stick and is interested in the sound of this unique instrument should check his Audio Demos... "stick pur 1"has to disadvantages: to short and not available on CD... another OASYAN working on great tracks.

.. in a way this is Daz' "fault"

Well, it was nice working with you too. I think you are doing a great and professional job with your blog and it really adds another dimension to the international Oasys community. Good luck and I hope to read and hear from you and your blog in the nearer feature.

Oh…and thanks for your patience….;)

Well, I sold the JV 2080, the korg KARMA, my HP2000 and 01/W, and I am using just the Oasys. I am aware of that I own a minimal setup, but it works for me
I think that is the beauty of the OASYS. It can stand on its own.

And no s**t with drivers and messing up computer systems. Turn the power on, find some sounds and start playing. And when I have some inspiration I just put the Enter and Record knobs on and I am in record mode….All the knobs and sliders, the huge touch screen is giving you a large amount of control over this complex instrument.
Yep.

I managed to get one in September 2005,
Cool, that's when I bought mine.

To bad I need a job to make a living, this thing needs more of my spare time. Besides the other family and a jealous wife. Life is not always easy owning the big O, just be warned.
Ha ha!

Somehow I am attracted to all kind of Pad sounds and mysterious and creepy fields of sounds. I create those often.
I like them, too. Those are effective for movie and video game backgrounds.

Excellent interview!

BTW Peter - I liked seeing the Poll for the "OASYS wishlist." Most of the votes went to "Improved Sequencer" and "FM EXi." Interesting stuff.

Thanks, Mike.... this compliment goes as usual to the guest. :D

btw - this gives me the opportunity to remind you on my question concerning the VAs comparison as I did not understand what you were asking. Hopefully two weeks in California this summer will help me to improve...
