Please read my readme before installing SoundDiver guys.. It really works.

Here is the link for the SoundDiver updater to Version 3

ftp://ftp2.emagic.de/pub/sounddiver/win ... pdater.exe

Here is the README. Sorry for the long post..

To make sure sounddiver installation goes with out any problems, FIRST delete any traces of sounddiver from your PC if you already had installed it.
THen Clean up your Trash BIN
Then Delete the EMAGIC folder in your Program Files,

Again, Clean up your Trash BIN.

Now REboot Windows XP.

When you reboot,

Make sure you dont have any virus protection going on, etc etc... IE, no other windows programs running. Not even the Internert wireless or anything.

OK,

Now, Turn ON your Korg Trinity V3 and Make sure all your midi connections are functioning. Make sure you have the MIDI Connectors connected correctly. Why?
Because when you first launch SoundDIver, it will look for the Trinity right away and you wanna make sure its connected correctly. Its a must.

OK, now turn on your Trinity and right away go to the GLOBAL PAGE.

GO to page 1 and make sure under MIDI Channel: it says 1

under NOTE Receive: It says ALL.

Now go to page 2

In this page in the FILTER BOX

make sure all boxes are checked.

Now,
In the PROTECT BOX:

Make sure all boxes are unchecked.

Youre almost there. Now, the Trinity is ready. Remember make sure the midi cables are connected correctly.

Now,

Install the OEM version of SoundDiver.

Follow all the prompts until you reach the end and select close once it tells you that it has been installed.

DO NOT LAUNCH SOUNDDIVER YET!!! IT IS a MUST.

Now, close any open windows that SOundDIver installer made where all the shortcut icons and readmes are. Just close them to prevent problems.

OK,

Now install the

sounddiver_trinity_updater.exe file.

This EXE will bring your OEM version of Sounddiver to version 3.1 IT really works so you must do this right.

Once the INstaller has installed all the files, it will also open up a Window with three files in it. One is the uninstall file, the other the readme in
MSword, and the other the SoundDiver 3.1 Shortcut Icon. It should be a green one that says souddiver trinity .

Before you Launch SoundDiver:

Right click on your SoundDiver Shortcut that is on your Desktop.
Go to properties and make sure that you select for Windows XP to execute the file in Windows 98 compatability mode and disable visual themes. Click Apply.

Then when you launch SoundDiver, your Windows XP OS will launch in Windows 98 compatibility. This worked. Now I dont ever get the sysex error and all the patches get fully loaded.

Go ahead and click on the Green SoundDiver Shortcut. It will give you some kind of ERROR Message. like NO TEXT or something. CLick on, then click again.

Now, it will launch Sounddiver for the first time. It will ask you if you want it in English or what ever. I selected English. Ok,

Now, if you have the Korg Trinity V3, it will ask you if you have the SOLO or Z1 polyphonic card. If you have the SOLO (prophecy card monophonic) then
select that one,

but if you have the MOSS card which is the Polyphonic Z1 card then you must select this one because it will give you the correct patches.

Now, it will ask you if you have the PBS-tri option installed. This way it will add an extra bank for the Combis and Programs. And extra patches section
for the Bank M, or Moss.

Now, after this it will ask you if you would like to request all the patches from the instrument, select yes.

IF YOU GET an ERROR MESSAGE towards the END while it is loading the MOSS Programs, ITS OK>

It still loads all of them. Now you should be able to edit to your hearts content. Awsome heh, I love the Trinity for ever!!

Best regards,

Musikman4Christ

Does this work for the TR-Rack? I got my rack on ebay about a year ago and just discovered that there is an editing software out there (a must for the rack unit I think). But whoever sold me the rack didn't include any kind of software or owners manual or anything like that. Where can I get a copy of SoundDriver?

Hello Lucidness,

If you join the Yahoo Trinity Club Group they have the original OEM version of Sounddiver that came with the rack.

Try this link:

If it doesnt work, then you will have to join the group. And I think, it should work just as fine with the rack. Dont know if the update will work with it since its not the regular board but I think it should since I do remember in the installation it asked if you had a rack or regular version of the trinity. Good luck friend.

Well, I had to do a reformat on my hard drive, I reinstalled SoundDiver, and now it doesnt work as it used to. Its weird cause it worked flawlessly now it tells me that it lost sysex communication with the Trinity, when I know the connection is working perfectly in Trinitro.

Reason I like Sounddiver is cause one can hear the changes made to the sound right away, is there a way to enable this in Trinitro guys?

My friends, I got it to work again. I forgot to mention in my instructions one simple step that made the difference in the world.

Once everything is installed and you find that the midi connection between your Trinity and SoundDiver is not working like when its trying to upload all your patches from the trinity, thats because you have to do the following:

Right click on your SoundDiver Shortcut that is on your Desktop.
Go to properties and make sure that you select for Windows to execute the file in Windows 98 compatability mode and disable visual themes. Click Apply. Then when you launch SoundDiver, your Windows XP OS will launch in Windows 98 compatibility. This worked. Now I dont ever get the sysex error and all the patches get fully loaded.

And, Francois, you are able to edit the moss patches too.

Oh, something really neat I found out too last night. There is a mini sequencer in SoundDiver. What you do, is record a mini sequence. Hit stop. Now play it back and what every patch you click on to see how that patch sounds, it plays back that mini sequence you recorded. Its really neat cause you can actually get an idea of how the patch sounds. I love this little discovery specially with the MOSS patches.

Check it out.

Hello Fellas,

Been away for a while. Still loving my silver beauty! Not beast ;-)

Still can't believe how awesome it sounds, I went to the local guitar center and tried the new Motif XF and the pads and other stuff still don't come close to the Trinity. Amazing after 15 years!!!!

Well, I do have the update for SoundDiver, but you know, I hardly use anymore as I can't figure it out completely. Specially getting to save all my patches and then bringing the patches up again and having the UI look the same in Sounddiver. Anyways, I will attach it if possible.

I have been using Trinitro mostly to build my custom PCGs.

My outputs are totally out now, just using the DI out of the trinity via adat. But it still sounds so awesome!!!!
