Adjusting pitch-bend range on Oasys?

Post by doktorfuture »

I've hunted, but can't find out how to extend the pitch-bend range on the Oasys.

I have a continuum fingerboard (fretless controller), and I'd like pitchbend to be more than a few semitones -- in fact, I'd like as much as 96 semitones ideally.

Can the range be set at all? any bit helps.

Pitch bend range is set per model, per program. For instance, with the HD1 model, for each half of a double PCM program, on the osc pitch page under the pitch box there's a setting for the intensity of JS+X and JS-X, which is just another way of saying intensity of pitch bend up and pitch bend down.

For AL-1 it's on the Pitch Common page.

For STR-1 it's on PCM OSC pitch and String pitch (they each have their own JSX intensities).

For MS-20 it's on the Osc&Filter page under pitch (bend range knob).

For Polysix it's on Main under pitch (bend range knob)

For MOD-7 it's on Osc Main (under pitch)

The range for HD-1 sounds is +12 to -60 semitones.

EXi sounds have a range of +/-60 semitones.

You can achieve +/- 72 semi-tones by assigning the SW1 and SW2 buttons to Octave Down/Octave Up. Then, in TONE ADJUST mode, you can assign Oscillator Pitch to a slider, so you can get a Pitch range of +/= 60 semi-tones.

Use the Slider and SW buttons together and their values will add up to 72.
