New loop method

On the new KP3 2.0 manual - can anyone interpret the last page, the "New Loop Type Option"? That graphic doesn't make any sense to me.

Wow, that is a great question. I just read it and it seems to make no sense at all. I will have to make that my next KP3 experiment. At a glance, I had assumed that this was some sort of stutter effect, but after reading that page I don't know.
