Hi Choros and Avi,
I think I understand. Am I correct to distill your enhancement suggestion for a future OS release as follows?
The "auto punch" and "pedal punch" facilities currently available only in Sequencer Recording mode should be made available also in Style Recording mode.
Best regards,
Rob
HI ROB,
MORE THEN THAT!
The "auto punch" and "pedal punch" facilities currently available only in Sequencer Recording mode
should be made available also in "Quick record" TO!

Hi Avi, Choros et al,
I guess I don't expect the editing facilities for sequencing on any arranger keyboard to be quite as comprehensive as per your requirements.
The way I work at the keyboard is to quickly lay down one track at a time, building up the tracks until the song or style sounds roughly right. Then I upload it in a midi file to a PC for polishing using Cakewalk Sonar. I like to use a mouse and "drag and drop" editing for grouping chords and moving them in time when necessary. I never record three upper tracks at the same time, this is pointless when I can replicate a track in Sonar very easily and change the patch number etc.
Also I'm just starting to use "Band in a Box" 2008 for style generation for use with the Pa1x, prompted by gorilla's helpful hints and tips. This is very productive.
I don't expect anything as good as Cakewalk or "Band in a Box" to ever appear on any dedicated arranger keyboard.
Best regards,
Rob

HI ROB,
That exactly the different point between musician,
[There are other people like me...] there is a time that you wont to do all the work with one simple KB, without moving from place to place,
and the PA800 can give it!
It easyer when playing live without computer, [or another KB]
or making music at home or studio, when recording.
seems that korg understan that,
you can see that there is an option for MP3 in the KB, or like the CD in the PA1x,
happy day.

I did not understand what make you to be angry, can you be specific,
Thank you for understanding me and for the response.
Sorry if my English is not so good.
Avi. a happy PA800 user.[/quote]
Avi,
my anger is because of of the missing "Auto Punch",
(jumping to the wanted measure).
Such fine and expensive keyboards like the PA's should
have it onboard!!

Hi Choros,
Here is a suggestion. As you know, "auto punch" and "pedal punch" facilities are available in sequencer mode, the issue seems to be that they are not available in the other recording modes, for example when you are in Style recording mode.
So, could you create your style by multi-track recording a short 16 bar sequence in the chord of C, using Sequencer Mode. Then use the auto punch and pedal punch facilities to your heart's desire until it sounds right played once.
Then save the sequence as a MIDI file and copy it to your PC.
Then use Korg's free PC-based Style to MIDI program to convert this to a style, and import it to your Pa keyboard?
Best regards,
Rob

HI ROB,
That is a good idea,
Thank you!
But you can see, with your self, that it is still ONE of the
L O N K - W A Y solution's for work.
And not the simple way that KORG can do easily...
Appreciate you-
