Does anyone notice their OASYS makes a errie electrical noise from the PSU right after you flip the switch, before the OASYS actually springs to life? I'll video if necessary.

I hear a "swoosh" right after I turn it on, sort of like the fans speeding up for a fraction of a second, before returning to normal speed.
But nothing I'd call "electrical" though..

Ryan,
I had a power spike on my Oasys due to the original owner sending me the wrong power chord with the Oasys. My advise is to make sure you have the right power chord and your Oasys running through a surge protector. I know these are common sense but it certainly doesn't hurt to check and make sure the basics are eliminated.

I get this when I turn off the OASYS. Kind of strange considering I'm turning off the power, but assume it's normal.

Hey wait a minute, I might have confused things.. I haven't played the Oasys for a while now, and I was writing out of memory. Now I seem to remember that the swoosh occurs at power down.. Hmm..
I am going to check it out later this evening.

Hmm. I get the swoosh when I shut off too, but when I flip the switch there's an electrical arcing sound about about a second after I flip the switch. About a second after that the power actually comes on.
My room lights flicker when it makes the arcing sound. I'm not at home but I'll video it when I get there in a few days.

What's the quality of the electricity in your home ?.
Sounds to me like your OASYS is starved for power.
Do things like turning on a TV cause the lights to dim ?.
If so.... Buy a UPS. You should have one anyway for the OASYS.

I have a UPS and the power's pretty good. The lights don't dim, they just flicker for a second. I think it may be charging the caps because it does it more when it's been off for a while.
