When and Why did KORG stop making the Extreme? Its looks nice in its black casing, looking much better than its white chocolate counterpart. It was a deceit price (even from new), it is packed with features. Must have sold in the millions! Then they bring out the M3 and the OASYS keyboards that look square and blocky and not so nice.

Manufacturers survive by releasing new products. The Triton Extreme was the end of the Triton series, packaging the original Triton ROM plus the majority of the content of all of the EXB-PCM expansion module ROM.

The Triton series started back in 1999, so it was time to release the next generation workstation.

Just FYI, the vast majority of Triton Extremes were dark blue in color (like the picture you display). Only a small number of black versions were released in Japan.

I want a Triton that looks like Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton? I'd take the black Triton Extreme. That would look just insane with a red or orange LED under the tube. Of course, the cyber blue screen would stay. And add a fat stripe like on the Motif.
