kabuchi, there is probably one more option you can try.

Are there some public adds in your country? Like small newspaper/internet/TV/radio messages "I sell this, I buy that..."?

You can try posting an add to buy some broken Extreme which motherboard is OK. Your Extreme was spiked - someone else got his Extreme's chassis or keys or something else broken for example. I know it's a long shot, but who knows... and if you manage to find some Extreme in such condition, you'll probably get it for a lot less than 1000 bucks.

Just an idea, but I hope you will solve your situation.

Hi Kabuchi,

I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe I missed something, but please tell me why you can't get a new motherboard for your Extreme? Is it availability? Cost?

I just purchased some new case parts for my TE76 with no problem and they were very reasonably priced.

Best of Luck

I need a mother board for a 61 key EX

close to $1000.00,

can u tell me where you r getting your parts from and possibly how much it might cost in your area?

the output section is the problem but that's attached to the mother board...
hence, the problem grows

thanx

Wouldn't it make sense just to ship the keyboard to an authorized service location and have them repair the damaged board? I doubt it would cost $1000 to repair it if they don't have to replace the whole motherboard. I know you said you don't have one of those in your country, but there must be one on the same side of the planet.

yea ,

well, i have made up mind, i'm gonna use it as a controller and get another one in like 2 months time.

Besides sending it to a dealer, that's gonna cost me alone especially air freight to and from my parts.

I'm in the Eastern Caribbean (St.kitts Nevis) to be exact. Musicians here dread sending their equipment overseas because of the expense of shipping alone.

I prefer it this way to be honest anyway.

but thanx alot for the concerns, help and suggestions
you guys have been a big help....this is really a great forum and a great bunch a guys and gals u all r

happy new year again and...

keep makin music...taking it to the "extreme"

cheers
