Hey Vatim. I asked this same question not too long ago, and from the answers I got here, and the research I did myself, the Oasys seems to be the better choice, because it runs a whole lot more efficiently than any regular computer, and there's no latency. Like the NED Synclavier, which was made back in the 1980's, the software is seemlessly integrated with the hardware. Also, several people have told me that synth engines like AL-1 and MOD-7 cannot be matched by any softsynth. The only real disadvantage in the Oasys appears to be that the sequencer is not as good as what you would find in a PC DAW, but it works for quite a fiew people.

BTW, did you get your serial number problem straightened out?

Sort of, there's only one sticker missing ( the one that says the voltyage, "Made In Japan" and serial),
but the sticker on the bottom of the Oasys isn't missing, I found out that the last 6 digids of first UPC number, are the serial number!!
I verified this on my Triton Studio (sold my TS) and Triton Extreme.

but I'm still waiting for installation CDs from KORG!

Good to hear you're getting that worked out! Just keep calling Korg about the CD's.

Well the NeKo Lx 76 looks nice too... but I lean toward the Oasys :D

Currently I have the XS8 & M3 61. A nice combo, but

An Apple Mac Pro with 8 cores and 16GB RAM... now maybe with the right controller(s)

This year Roland may surprise us... :?:

Still I think the O is nice for the all-in-one. I hope they offer some hardware updates.

ymmv

AAAAH the Famous Blue screen of Death!!!!At least the Triton EX blue screen doesn't signal corrupted data...

One of the reasons I ditched using a computer for Music creation....Never so much as had a peek out of a synth workstation or hardware sequencer...or even so much as a Freeze in all the years of owning Korg workstations,I've had at least 5 or 6 Hard drives on my PC in that time,Although I do back everything up,computers for me are far too volatile,I've never owned one that gave me that trust like a Hardware sequencer...

I see you altered the desk,Thought you was going to put the Oasys in there rather than the Triton??
