removing mute from sequencer channels

I recorded some tracks. Then I was fiddling with different mixes while I was in record mode on the sequencer. I muted some tracks, then un-muted them. Now when I replay the song, the sequencer preserves the muting and un-muting that I did during record mode. I can't figure out how to remove the mute/un-mute information that got recorded onto the relevant tracks. It completely messes up the song now. Advice? Thanks.

On the TRACK EDIT page select the track you need to fix.

Select the dropdown menu.

Select ERASE MEASURE

Under KIND, select EXCLUSIVE or CONTROL CHANGE.

One of those should do it.

EDIT:

Just tried it. EXCLUSIVE was the culprit.

As Mike says you need to identify the System Exclusive messages that are used for automation and kill those. Obviously if you wipe out all of those messages you will also delete all your other automation (fader moves etc.), so be careful there. Unfortunately the Oasys shows all automation as anonymous sysex events in the event editor, so you're not able to identify whether something is a mute or volume change. You'll need to use the Play function in the event editor to identify what is what, if you need to hose only the mute events.

I followed your instructions, but it did not work. The mute and un-mute changes remain on the affected tracks.

The sysex events may not be on the tracks you expect. The automation sysex can go on any track, not just the track it's associated with. If you want to send an .sng file over I'll take a peek.

That sucker is harder to kill than Rasputin! I had to tick the box for "all tracks" when going through procedure outlined earlier in this thread. Thanks.
