Hello guys!

Since November I own a Triton Extreme with Moss board installed. I have the feeling that Moss is not that valuable and necessary...

It gives some Sazi, Out, Clarinet and MonoLead sounds... But here in Greece at least, there are 1000 combi-sounds ready to be loaded in the Banks without the need of Moss. Sounds that are P E R F E C T... emulating in a marvelous way all this instruments!

Thats why I wonder myself, if you people believe that Moss is really worthy of 400$ (sometimes more).

I am not in bias but don't tell me things like: People here and there really like it etc. and can spend a fortune to own one of this... the question is why? Why the want so much this board? Which sound do they search for and can not find it?

Absolutely! I am keeping the Triton mainly because of MOSS! You won't get variable modeling with the Radias expansion on M3! Its the only way if you are doing mideastern music and probably want to do some other stuff as well!

The value of MOSS would depend on your musical needs. If your music mostly consists of piano, organ, strings, etc., then MOSS may not be important at all. There are many of those types of sounds and more in the standard banks.

If on the other hand, you prefer electronic or experimental type sounds, MOSS is a fantastic tool to have. It's deep enough to program new sounds for a long long time.

You can also create more common sounds (pianos, strings etc) with MOSS, and have unique control of the sound's nuances via modulation parameters available in each physical model.
