EXs3 BRASS and Woodwinds Collection, sorry' no User sounds ?

Post by mozartella »

well,
in Budapest after waiting and waiting for the new 2 CD's, I finnaly went to the Korg dealer, and, received, the 2 CD..So good, but...

why on DEMO mode, I can't hear not nothing, but, just I can hear the timbres or sounds coming from the INT banks program, but not a simple sound coming from the USER bank on the G bank combination select....

I do have all the previous Lac and so for, and, from the MOD it is still in DEMO mode, but, with it, at least I can hear some sounds, coming and going.....

no clue?

thanks. I still do have 28 gig memory on the HD and, the last update

Hi Mozartella

You have to load them in off your Hard Drive:

(From the PDF Manual on Disk ONE):

Loading the sounds into USER-G

To load the sounds into bank USER‐G:

1. Press the front‐panel DISK button to enter Disk
mode.
2. Open the FACTORY folder on the internal hard
disk.
3. Select the EXs3.PCG file.
4. Press the on‐screen LOAD button.
A dialog box will appear.
5. Press OK to load the sounds.

This will load the new Programs, Combinations, and
Wave Sequences into bank USER‐G, as follows:
• Programs: USER‐G 000‐127
• Combinations: USER‐G 000‐63
• Wave Sequences: U‐G00 to U‐G10
• Drum Kits: Initialized data is loaded into USER‐G.

-----------------------------------------------------

Loading the sounds into another HD-1
bank

To load the sounds into any other HD‐1 bank:
1. Press the front‐panel DISK button to enter Disk
mode.
2. Open the FACTORY folder on the internal hard
disk.
3. Select the EXs3.PCG file.

4. Press the on‐screen LOAD button.
A dialog box will appear.
5. In the dialog, set .PCG Contents to Bank U‐G.
6. To the right of this parameter, select the To popup,
and select the bank you’d like to load into.
7. Press OK.
The Programs, Combinations, and Wave Sequences
will be loaded into the selected bank, along with
initialized Drum Kit data..

There's more info, Refer to CD ONE "PDF Manual" located in: "CD, then MANUALS, then EXs3_OM_E1 (E is for English) Assuming you prefer English that is

In addition to loading the Program files, you need to load the actual samples - EXs-3.

GLOBAL - BASIC tab

Click the dropdown menu, on the top right. Select EXPANSION SAMPLE SETUP.

A pop up box will appear. Check the EXs-3 box and the samples will load.

AnthonyB,

thanks for your well explanation on How to upload the EXs3, and I did followed the 2 CD's instruction, but, like Mike said, I of course forgot about the GLOBAL - BASIC stuff, and that was it. But I am so happy you answered to my stupid question and it helped

OK Mike, seems you did a lots of good works with your Video tutorial, and going to order one soon...I do have a question, I know, this is of topic, but,if you ship it to Hungary, and knowing, sorry, the Postal etic is not always nice, and maybe I would not receive it, and, if that would be the case, could we find a way to you Upload to a place, prived, just for one time, and then I could download it?

Also, on your video, did you covered the COMBI part, and the Master A,2,3,4, the Module 1,2,3,4, layer, how do they truly interact between and inside a Combi, or, the software of Stephen is going to be more explanatory, I mean, for that part ?

thanks for your help

I have shipped to 27 countries and found most to be very quick, except Italy. Haven't tried Hungary, yet - but it would be nice to try. I do not have a big enough FTP to upload 3 hours, 17 minutes of material, but I'm looking elsewhere.

Only for a few minutes, in Chapter 9 of the Intro section. I took a Combi and demonstrated each A,B,C,D in SOLO mode and went through the 8 scene buttons for each, rearranging them, as well as Slider settings. Other than that, I didn't cover a lot of KARMA. Stephen does a very good job with his videos, so I didn't cover much of what you can find in those.

I only recently got the software. I may do a short demo for a second DVD. The current DVD covers the Interface (all the buttons, inputs and outputs), Global settings (including Drums and Wave Sequencing) and then some short demos of sequencing, vocoding, sampling, etc.

Here's the CHAPTER LIST

You can always host it on my website (for free, of course). This is a thing of general importance for OASYS users so it would help you keep your costs down and users could get it much faster. Anytime you want, pal.

Thanks Mike,

Soon I would order your Video and, I cross my fingers, it would safely land in my house....

and, also thanks for the more detailled explanations...Regarding the video of dear Stephen, they are nice, but, for zombie like me, they are sometimes to quick to grab....

I must be not the only one, if i would, you would never already have shipped your video in 27 differents countries....

Happy I am, happy because, I am not alone....mind yoy Oasys, is THE beast to learn
