Count your blessings, Robert. Trust me, a woman such as that is a controller - one of the worst blights any man can ever catch. To be sure, this is not a mistake, just a lesson.

Here's the kind of girlfriend you need to wait for. Ask Daz for some pointers on how he landed that beauty - http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=31080

Cheers,
Eric

It's always possible that she had a justifiable reason (i.e. her mom needed a life-saving operation to survive... it cost $7000 and she didn't have the money... and then Robert went and bought the Oasys), but barring that...

When I bought my Oasys, my girlfriend actually picked it up for me from the UPS depot. I felt really bad afterwards, because she had to actually lift it & put it into the trunk of the car on her own.. good thing she's strong.

Sorry to hear that - but I honestly doubt that buying something could be the "real" reason for another one for leaving a relationship. It might be what she said, it might look like that - whatever - but the true issue(s) will be something else. :?
However, I'm a firm believer of "what is now makes sense - either now or it will make sense somewhen". Most of the time this helps me to overcome more or less difficult times. Good luck!

Thanks

Thanks everyone. Charlie, you might be right. But that was the reason she gave. She said it was irresponsible and asked what if we were married. Just to help you understand. Her church believes that everybody who worships on sunday is going to hell. She told me that if I didn't end up in her church that our relationship wouldn't work. She also believes that everyone who doesn't eat the same foods as they do are going to hell.

And I think that making a superior race isn't up to her or her "church" to decide in terms of rules, food, or whatever else. Other than that, I think that people start losing perspective when they start looking anyone "from above", or try to make anyone live by their rules.

That being said, you're a lucky man to get out of that relationship. It would bring you nothing but pain because - and that surely goes agains her beliefs too - you don't owe it to anyone to change everything you are just so you can be with them.

Listen Man -

Run.

Stay running - and don't look back.

You got the better end of that deal.

Get any thought of going back with that nightmare scenario firmly out of your head and count your blessings.

You're one lucky man - you got your life back and you didn't have to escape the Mother Ship. And you can play the blues on a great instrument.

Stop thinking and hide.

Kevin.

hey RP just write her a love song with the new toy. She may like it.....
Thats a good idea Doc - religious issues notwithstanding....

If she see's/hears what she's missing - she might change her mind.

A Pop idea like that could be very popular on the net.

Headline.
"New Oasys owner woo's dis-affected lover with 1st composition." :soundsgood

Peace
Ausser.

PS: Yeah that - oh...and Daz's aftershave of course.

You can always break it off with her again when the public interest dies down - and the royalties are safely in your bank account.\:D/

Comedian (?) Or do they have shares in some restaurant chain?
I wonder what happens to all the people who existed before that food did.
(how far do you want to take it wrt. pesticides, preservatives, place of origin, etc?)

Mate, you got rid of this delusional woman and scored an OASYS. YOU WIN!!

:beer :verycool: \:D/ :soundsgood =D> =D> =D>

(I feel sorry for her and people trapped in her cult though, but that's not really on topic here)

Well...I think you need to seriously consider which will require the most OS upgrades...and how often.

Then too, you may also want to take a cold-blooded look at how often you'll want to put new sounds into her (either one).

Remember, it's not the tweek it's the timbre

I dislike judging a situation without having heard both sides in person .... but I have to admit, at least I would feel a bit strange with a woman close by delivering arguments like you quoted above ...
