I don't mind hitting the keys hard.

It's just that I'm afraid I'm gonna break the Oasys!

Well, no rest for the worried...

Sure enough, going with velocity curve 4 or 5 makes it easier to reach MIDI levels of 120-127, of course, no problem there.

But I still have to say that I've failed to tweak the velocity levels and amps and bla bla to achieve the desired effect:

Clear and distinct changes in VOLUME (not timbre) in the higher velocity regions when hitting the keys harder.

I just don't hear it.. It still sounds compressed, even after turning all FX off.

Could someone please suggest some programming tips?..

Thanks,

Curvebender.

Tell me the name/number of a specific Program, I'll give it a whirl.

Ok, time for embarassing conclusions:

I was wrong...

For the past months I've been playing the Oasys exclusively with headphones, mainly because I was in the midst of re-arranging my studio, and so the Oasys hasn't been connected to my speakers.

Today, finally, everything is in place, and now when I sit here and play and listen to the Oasys thru a pair of Genelecs 8040's, well, it sounds brilliant.

No problems at all with dynamics. Thank God I was wrong!! :D And thanks all for trying to help with a problem that wasn't there in the first place!!

Keith Emerson plays the Oasys.

You might as well drop one off a cliff.

What I mainly worry about is the SIDE force on the keys when I get too wild playing organ patches. That's why I have a CME UF7 which has to have the absolute worst velocity sensitivity ever (seriously, it's crap) that I beat the crap out of on a daily basis, and it holds on.
