Logic / Oasys Issue

Post by Lou »

Being a long time DP die-hard, I was always fascinated with Apple's Logic Pro but never considered the addition of it in my setup until Apple offered the package at such an incredible price. So now I'm up and running with it and have encountered a bit of a slowdown and having trouble getting it resolved. I was hoping that maybe someone who uses Logic and Oasys could give me the answer.

Here is the issue:

I have the Korg / Oasys environment and am now able to record a combi to one track and edit the CCs and Sysex without any problems at all. Pretty cool!

Recording a combi "thru" the Oasys (No dumping) sequencer into Logic is working well. The Auto Demix by channel feature is giving me all of the individual tracks "BUT" being that the Oasys requires Local to be On, I'm getting doubled sound and the only work around I have found is to turn off the Port in the Inspector for recording and then having to turn it on again to listen back without the doubling. This works well, but I was hoping that maybe somewhere in Logic there is a way for this to automatically take place. In DP I was able to turn off Midi Patch Thru, but can't find anything that remotely does this in Logic. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
