Post by MauroR »

Hello guys, Mauro here. Last friday I've installed the 1.3.1a update but since then it ask me for a re-authorization otherwise I can't use it. I haven't had any error message during the update process, no error and everything. But I can't use it and I don't know what to do. before you ask me i've burnt the image following all the instructions available on the net so it's not the problem. I haven't any USB device connected and such other stuff. Please help. :(

Unfortunately you have put yourself through some unneccessary misery. There was no need to update from version 1.31 to 1.31a as they are the same. You can read more about this issue on this forum.

At this point you need to call tech support for your region. It shouldn't be too hard to have the Oasys changed to your registration.

Korg support may be able to send you a specific re-authorization CD, otherwise you will need to register at korguser.net and download the new re-authorization CD.

Once you have the re-authorization CD, you insert it into the Oasys and boot on it. Follow the directions and you will be all set.

This problem is solvable, but you probably need to contact Korg support.

I've not installed 1.3.1 on 1.3.1a, it was 1.30 and I've installed the 1.31a, this is my situation, so on the paper I did it right.

Does "up" mean that it is working yet?

If not, then bumping won't help you until you do the two things that I suggested in the first post - register at korguser.net/oasys and/or call Korg support.

This forum has many very helpful people, and even frequent contributions by very generous Korg employees, but this forum is not official tech support and we can't help you with this problem. Only Korg support can deal with reauthorization issues, warranty transfers, etc.

Note that you *can* register at korguser.net, and you should certainly do so! Your Korg Distributor can make this happen for you, at no cost.
