I've written about this problem before and gotten the suggestion to set the priority on the drum track containing the cymbal crash. That fix has worked in the past on other songs.
However, this time when I set the track priority in this manner, the other tracks become truncated on the beat of the cymbal crash.
So, I tried a work-around. I went back and eliminated all tracks that were not absolutely essential for the song. I figured that they much be chewing up memory, and that the truncation of the cymbal crash was essentially a problem of some kind of memory on a given beat being exhausted.
The work-around didn't work. The cymbal still cuts out at certain places in the song. So, any suggestions?

Truncation means that voices are being stolen. This is completely separate from memory.jgsidak wrote:I've written about this problem before and gotten the suggestion to set the priority on the drum track containing the cymbal crash. That fix has worked in the past on other songs.

It sounds like this sequence is simply using a large number of voices. This might be because some of the sounds use lots of layers/stereo samples/wave sequences etc., or use higher-cost EXi such as the MS-20EX or STR-1, or use KARMA GEs which generate large numbers of notes. It can also be related to using many high-cost effects, or multiple CX-3s. The manual has more info on polyphony. My suggestion would be to record the most high-cost tracks to disk as audio.
