Power supply and UPS
How good is the power supply in the Oasys? Is it worth the effort to schlep along a UPS to gigs to protect the Oasys from transients?

I am using a Series Mode Surge Protector. The brand and model is Brick Wall PW2RAUD. You can see the details here:

I play the OASYS through a pair of JBL 4328 8” active powered monitors. I believe the Brick Wall unit also helps to filter out some of the AC line noise because the background becomes quieter.
This Surge Protector has been tested to withstand 1000 surges at 6000 volts. It is a pretty impressive rating.

The Surgex stuff and the Furman Series II are good also.
You don't need a UPS if you can afford the couple of minutes it takes to reboot the Oasys, but a good power conditioner is a good idea, especially if the power source is questionable, such as a generator or festival power source shared by beer fridges, etc.
