MIDI monitor

Post by dhjdhj »

I just attached a Roland foot controller system (FC-300) that I'd like to use to do some real-time control. However, there doesn't seem to be any MIDI monitoring capability on the Oasys to see what MIDI output is being generated, nor does there seem to be any way to have an Oasys parameter "learn" to respond to an external MIDI message.

Am I missing something? This seems like a major missing feature.

Thanks,
D

I use the Program P0:Karma GE page for very limited monitoring, and Global P2: Controllers/Scales lets you assign some of the CC#:s.
Also the OASYS manual has complete CC# appendix.
The FC-300 has a annoying limit, the max CC# is 109, and so some of the OASYS CC#:s are beyond the controller.
If you happen to find a solution please inform me.
Otherwise it is a great controller!

I agree that a MIDI monitor would be nice. I got used to that on my Kurzweil stuff.

I added a Midi Monitor to the wishlist a while back ... so I am right with you, a very useful thing to have indeed.
