Live play effects changing while sequence running?

Anyone know whether/how effect settings can be changed while a live track is being played along with a sequence?

Interested as I would like to use a microphone live through the Oasys (using method Mike Conway describes) but need effects to change for verse/chous as the sequence progresses.
