Hello folks...
I will probably say something allready discussed here, in case i apologize if I was not good enoug in searching.
why loops after a while, go sligtly out of sync and one needs to ALIGN them manually?
this is nonsense to me.

Which loop mode do you use ?

the default continuous loop without retrigger..
from what i've seen with same PBM loops keep in time, but if two loops have around 10 bpm of difference after a while they go out of sync

hold on a sec... IT LOOKS LIKE that with the new loop type option set to 1 the problem is solved...

didn't fix it for me.
I create my samples *WITH* the KP3. If I create 4 simple samples where beat 1 is always hit, it doesn't take long before they are out of sync. I know the samples are created properly because if I hit shift and the sample in question, each one hits on beat 1. But when I enable them all, they are out of sync.
Yes, I'm using 2.0.
Isn't it time for at least a 2.1 where this can be fixed? This is useless for complicated samples...

maybe a patch could be written that would receive BPM from the KP3 and you could align a start point and at the end of a loop it would re-align all the samples?
i'm not sure that align is accessible by MIDI but if so i could whip something up since this seems to be a major annoyance for people.
oddly, my KP3 has no such issues. strange.
maybe my sense of timing is just really really off.

the new loop type option in firmware 2.0 only affects looper effects (LoP.1 - LP.13), it has nothing to do with sample playback...

how about someone writes a patch in MAX/MSP to simulate the kp3 and we just use the actual unit as an overpriced midi controller

if i wanted to work with a computer i wouldnt have bought this in the first place... i can see u have good intentions but i'd rather have korg fix this s**t so i can use the unit the way it was supposed to be used.

"how about someone writes a patch in MAX/MSP to simulate the kp3"
i won't lie, i've been thinking about it. then you could really tweak the f*ck out of everything, lke all of the effects parameters. the effects would be different, but the looping would stay the same (except you'd actually be able keep things synced up!)
if designed properly then people could make their own effects by combining or editing the existing ones.

I've never noticed this problem with my KP3. Is it only an issue with firmware 2.0? 'Cause I haven't upgraded yet (and probably won't if this is a problem).
