ADAM A7s - Thanks Sina172!

A couple months ago, I inquired about getting a set of small, cheap speakers or an amp for my Oasys while I transitioned my studio from one floor to another. Well, the move never happened, and rather than buy something cheap now that might have to be replaced later, I took Sina's advice and picked up a pair of ADAM A7's to "upgrade" my old HR824s.
I can honestly say that the sound quality is pretty much "night and day". Where the HR824s were so muddy in the midrange, especially on the Oasys pianos and guitars, the A7s make it sound like someone unwrapped a scarf tied that had been tied around my ears. Amazing clarity, like I'm hearing the Oasys again for the first time!
So thanks for the recommendation, Sina! You were "right on the money".

I also recently auditioned a pair of A7s and was astonished about their quality. Of all speakers in the < EUR 750 per speaker pricerange I think the only ones that could compete with those are a pair of Dynaudio's BM6AmkII. In my opinion they really outclassed the Mackies, KRKs and cheaper Dynaudio's. And they are so much cheaper than those!
I am still wondering whether there was some sort of issue with how they were linked to the source-signal, as the difference was that big.
Sina, I do not understand your statement regarding the price. Are the A7s in the US more expensive than the KRK VXT6s? In Europe, the A7 pricepoint is well below the VXT6s (some 100 euros cheaper). The P11Ss are more in the pricerange of the HR824's and VXT8.
Currently I am looking for another store where all those speakers can be auditioned, to confirm what I heard in the first one (as I still can't believe it). Daz, as I could not audition the P11As, how would you compare the quality of the P11As to the A7s?

Unfortunately I haven't heard the A7s so I can't comment.

Erik,
The A7's are currently priced at Sweetwater at $1000 for a pair. The P11a's are $2000 per pair.

Daz,
Have you felt the need or desire to add a sub to the P11's?

I really have not explored the idea of getting a sub ... I am fairly happy that I can hear the bass aspects of the mix, and I feel a sub might lead me to add bass elements into the mix most listeners won't be able to hear. Not exactly comprehensive thinking on the subject

It's something I really haven't explored at all, it would be interesting to hear of other's experiences.

I have been looking around for awhile and just purchased the A7's. They are really nice.
Guitar Center is offering 2 years additional insurance for $69.
Adam Audio provides a 5 year limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects.
Did anyone get the optional insurance for their speakers?
