Hi vEddY,
I just ordered BFD2 and I, too, am planning to use it with the OASYS and Karma Oasys. What have your experiences been with it, so far? Any ideas for workflows?
I'm thinking of using BFD2 to select drum samples, export the samples as WAVE files, load the WAVE files into a drum kit with 4 articulations into the OASYS, and use Karama Oasys to create user GEs.

Hey E,
Still working on the perfect setup here, have some loose-ends to tie up... But overall, this has been a memorable experience. KO kicks ass, and BFD kicks ass too. The combination is just a match made in heaven
I'm working on a slightly different angle, and everything's gonna be very clear when I finally finish the damn article I've been working on for two months now. Stay tuned
elvisjohndowson wrote:Wow, two months is a really long time! I'm working on writing tutorials for the OASYS too!
What's the topic, if I may ask?
The topic is this thread's subject Stephen probably already hates my guts because of that... I was supposed to publish the KO article quite awhile ago. But I can't stop playing with this, it's like I'm a five year-old with a new 1000-piece Lego package that needs to be sorted and arranged in the "correct way"
I've always been a huge Karma fan, but KO has taken me to a whole different level. Stephen should go into modern music theory books for KARMA, really...

a. Use an excel sheet as a reference for korg drumkit templates. Select BFD2 sounds and assign kicks, snares, etc, to the correct slots in the korg drumkit template. You'll find an example excel sheet over at Karma-Labs.
b. Create a drum kit user GE pattern directly using KO or import a MIDI drum track phrase from the sequencer or pattern.
This is fairly straight forward. The question is, can we do something more?

Yep, that's very close to what I'm trying to work with. But I'm way past that at the point where I'm doing some serious mp3s with the overall package I've "arranged". So far, very happy with results. But with all the work I've been having lately, it's hard to do something productive after 16hrs of work
