NO ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT. Help please?

I have no output from the 1/4" L/R, headphones, 1/4" out 1-4. I've checked the MIDI settings, I've done a factory reset, I've checked the keyboard's "identity" (a "new 88"), gone through self-check...
In the self-check, I'm getting a pretty loud buzz out of the analog channels L and R, as well as headphones.
When I plug an amp into L/R out or headphone out, and crank it up, I get the faintest of sound when a key is pressed. It's certainly accurate as far as the pitch goes, and changing sounds does affect the sound ever so slightly. However, the faint sound I'm getting reminds me of something like a mellotron/tape strings with a very slow decay and a kind of gated reverb. (As best as I can manage to describe.)

Is it likely my DAC is shot?

Hi

I had a problem similar to yours or probably worse, hopefully your dac is not shot. I had no output whatsoever unlike you.

My case was that the whole mother board died from electrical spikes in an area where I was playing, u can c my post and responses here...

In the mean time you might want to check a qualified service center near you...

all the best

Sorry to hear this. I had a similar problem, although mine occured after a factory reset. So I don't expect this to help, but it's worth giving it a try. See my posting here: http://korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/view ... hp?t=30353
