mpc4000 with oasys using sysex?

Hello, maybe some of you also use the great akai mpc4000.
This thing has 16 pads and 6 banks (96 pads effectively)
that can be used to play sequences. In these sequences I can record Oasys sysex
messages, like changing a karma scene, or anything from within the O.
By hitting a pad and starting the sequence that recoreded the sysex from the O, I can later send the sysex O messages back to the O and
change things as I recorded them earlier.
Now if anybody here has an mpc4000 or something like that,
you may understand what I wrote to the mpc forum:
I know I can start a sequence to play by hitting a pad:
under the 'metronome' pop up window I can
check 'wait for key: on' and arm the sequencer to play (push play button).
I hit a pad and it works.
But: I would like to use sequences that are NOT looped to
start playing by hitting pads under 'next sequence' option.
The reason I want to do this is that I would like to put some sysex data on the
sequences so when I hit a pad that (say one bar) sequence, sends that data out
to other gear (korg oasys).
But not repeatedly, one shot.
So, if the sequences are not looped, I can hit a pad, start sequence 1 when
armed for play but waiting for 'key on'. This one
stops after one bar. When play has stopped after one bar,
I would like to hit another
pad (which determines the next sequence under 'next sequence')
so that that sequence will play.
In other words, can I have a number of sequences in 'non-looping' mode
to be started playing under 'next sequence' by hitting a pad? Or in other words,
can I trigger 'play' by hitting a pad while in the 'next sequence' environment?
I guess this is not possible. But if it were, I could use 6*16 pads to store sysex
data that can be send to external gear.
has anybody with an akai sampler thought about this? Is it possible??
If so, I could for example jump between many GE algorhitms that are
widely separated by number by a mere touch. I think....(therefore I am,
I think)
