Outputting Click track / metronome ?

Post by fallingman »

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I've just started working with a drummer, and would like to be able to feed him a click track separately from the main stereo outputs.

Is there an easy way to do this ? Presumably I could rooute something via one of the other outputs ?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

:-)
Andy

Yes.

Go to Tab "Preference" in Sequencer mode; in the bottom of the screen you'll see options for adjusting metronome to sound just while recording/recording and playing/off all the time - make it to work while REC & Play; then in BUS output route it where ever you want. I wouldn't recommend routing it to main stereo outputs (L & R) because it will be heard to your audience too. Route it to individual outputs 1, 2, 3 or 4 and connect the channel you routed it to just to your drumer's headphones or monitor, whatever he uses to track down the beat from sequencer. You also have level option for adjusting the output and precount measure option.
