padkontrol - possible to send continous data with the pads

Post by riotschool »

Dear all, I am totally new to this padkontrol stuff - just got mine one day ago and had no time to play around with it.

But I already discovered that the pads are just sending one value - even if I keep my finger pressed on it. I would like to have a behaviour like a button, which keeps sending the same value (or a bigger one if I push harder on it) as long as I keep pushing the pad.

Already had a short look on farmpad and I don´t seem to be able to find a way to get want I want?

Thanks, everybody!

aftertouch

the closest you can get is to set a pad to transmit two values, whatever you want on note down followed by zero on note up.

I'm new to the pad control my self, but I understand that the pads can be made to act as switches/pedals. There is no aftertouch on the pads themselves, might seem disapointing but I dont actually see mpc/mpd or trigger finger owners making use of the aftertouch that they have available.

You can set each pad to Toggle. Noted as tgl in the display when you press Setting / SW Type. This will act as holding down the pad until you press it again.

Hi Riotschool, you want to check out bomes...

You can send farmpads controls into it and then have it trnslate it into keystrokes, or multiple midi messages etc...

I've got mine so that the REL VAL switch is actualy my CTRL key...

Cheers
