Took me about 4 seconds using Google to see that the KP3 was released tail-end of 2006.
www.google.com for future reference.

You know, I have never understood why there are so many people on message boards who police and act like sexually frustrated nuns obsessed with propriety; maybe because they are sexually frustrated nerds with nothing else to do?
Anyway, putting those anal turds aside, I find the Kaossilator and mini-KP to be a good combo. I use the mini-KP more, simply because I am more geared toward Electribe and microKORG (being a keysynth player, first and foremost).
As long as you have got a recorder armed and ready to go, you can create (and save) some great loops and textures with the Kaossilator. A Kaoss pad (mini-KP or any other) is a natural fit for adding fills and thrills.
Please do share some demos when you have the time!

if only the KP3 had a footpedal and more looping capabilities...
then i wouldnt need it, but dam is the 2880 sexy
