well, i've been a korg lover for so many years... i've been using korg since the M1,T2,O1/Wfd days... but there some thing about the Trinity that always excite me... i just love these silver beast! 8)

lets get real, trinity is kind a "Old" since uts debut around '95, but still until now i personaly think they sound expresive and very lush... yup, we all know that the piano sounds dated, but the E.P, pads, motion synth and synth are always classic... the 32 poly is also works for me..
but besides the lovely sounds i just love the keys feel and the gorgeous look of trinity... the trinity use yamaha FS keybed thats very2 expressive and durable... it use metal contact instead of rubber contact so, no worn out key kontact... ever! i just love the feel... sadly korg would never have these kind of keybed since the korg M3 launch in 2006, since now korg use their own keybed... and yamaha also discontinue the FS keybed and replace it with new FXS from TYROS2 keybed for their motif XS series...

i've been exploring trinity sound capability for years so i know its strength... i have several other korg gears now, ( KORG X2, X5D, O5RW, i30, Triton Le76) they're kind of old but still sounds good to my ears... :D , actually i'm luck enough to own 2 trinities! since i got another one for a trade with my KORG SP-200 digital piano for a good friend of mine... he's got a Trinity thats not used (he dont know how to use it& prefer to trade it with a digital piano), so it still in good looking condition, but the display is abit blurry at certain angle ( i dont mind, may be someday i'll replace it), disk drive not working (easily replaced by me) scratchy volume slider (now fixed). i'm using one as a controller also, and i just love the feels... you'll know what i mean if you know how the feel of nowdays midi controller on the market  ... VST instruments sounds better and got good dynamic when played thru trinity's keyboard...

one ideal partner for the trinity is roland XV-5050 sound module... it really completes the trinity sound set and they're like couple made in heaven with love... ( i got several roland synth like Fantom FA76 fully expanded, D-50, JV-1080... just 1 yamaha ... its TG-77)

although lately i use mostly Vitual Instruments, but some times still turn the trinity on for some of the particular sounds the the VSTi still wont be able to cover...

it seem trinity just drop very much in price lately as i look on ebay... still they are a very lovely sounding intruments... hope it would still got fans for years to come... Long live the Trinity!!

Certainly you would not be able to tell that the Trinity is 10yrs old. I fire it up, and the breadth and depth of the sounds still makes my jaw drop. Amazing for atmospheric stuff.

Same with my Virus Indigo, it sounds like a whole new beast when I use my Trinity as the master MIDI keyboard to play the Virus. The Indigo has the selectable velocity curves and everything, but they just don't match up to the dynamics of the Trinity's keys. By such a long way.

One thing I will say about the Trinity is the actual, mechanical sound of the keys. They make SUCH a bloody racket when you release the keys and they spring back up again! LOL. Really glad you don't hear that part through the line-outs, hehe. ;) But not good for discreet midnight playing, with or without headphones!

Beautiful feel, though. Extremely light, tactile and responsive. Just a pity about that key noise. (Doesn't affect me, though!).

yup, you're right about the keybed mechanical noise bro... i even open my trinity and look around if there's any way i could quiet it down... well just make sure everythings firm and put it in a good firm stand kind a help abit for me... 8)

everythings sounds better when midied to trinity, all my sounds module really blend with my finger when conected to the trinity keybed..yup, the action is light and tactile but works for most keyboard sounds part... well having a good 88keys hammer weighted is a must if you're a pianist anyway... i enjoy playing ivory VSTi thru the trinity but wont be everybody's cup 8)

in 2 days from know i may pick up another trinity plus from a person who doesnt use it also... its kind of scratchy and dirty but come in a hardcase... all in working kondition besides the diskdrive (easily replaced with any computer diskdrive), he ask for less than about $450... i think its very worthed... but my mind told me having 3 trinity is insane!!! ( a Trinity of Trinity!)

i just love this keyboard so much that i want to spend long time with them... so some back up wont be hurt :D imagine 10 - 20 years from know we still perform with trinity! what a vintage look! still gonna sounds awesome i'm sure!!!

my third trinity come today... its really dirty and got some scratch and dents... no worder its cheap!!!... spend all day cleaning it up and replace its floppy discdrive... now its all set and every function works well...

the keybed is still in a very good shaped and the action is still very nice for a used keyboard, just need an extensive cleaning and i made it..... the display is kind of blurry too if looked from certain angle but still okay and usable.... its my first trinity plus, so i got the chance to play with bank S... its awesomely expressive! i love it!..

since its come with O.S version 1.1, i notice the screen redraw time is too slow, so i update it to 2.4.1. ... what a frightening process!!! since i know if its fail, its gonna cost alot to replace the board... but fortunately it went well and smooth...

so here i am... a proud owener of 3 trinities!!! i just love korg trinity!!! what a classic synth and worderful workstation... have i said i love trinity? :D

Is this my friend and brother in Christ Wily from indonesia?

If yes, how are you my brother. I am the guy that used to have the korg i30 and we used to talk a lot in the Ralph's forum for the i30. I sold it, and now I regret it. I still have my beautiful Trinity though. Only thing now the left out works sometimes. Good thing is that the Digital output works perfectly even when the analog doesnt work. But the headphone is also affected. Either way, I can still use the digi out and that is perfect for me.

God bless you brother and good to hear from you again. Still worship the King of Kings!

yup bro! its me!! how are you armand? i'm all live and kickin' in His ministries as His servant!!!
i still got my i30 and its a like new condition... and yes i'll never ever sell it! its a trinity on steroids in black! 64polyphony,awesomely good sounding and use the same casing as trinity!

got to admid that i dont use hardware synth in the following years since i kind of relying heavily in DAW world with all those VST and VSTi in cubase... but lately the excitement is kindda back and i began to following some keyboards forum again ( lately i hang out with computer forum more often )...

the crazy thing is, even though there're so many new keyboards and workstation in the market thats really hot and several generation newer, i just still love these "older&a bit dated" keys... they're used to be the top of the line in the range and very2 expensive... but they're afordable now (much cheaper) now, still sounds awesomely good... what the heck... i'm collecting them like crazy!.. got to stop this addiction!! (already got 10 keyboards and 6 sound modules!) soon i got no more space...

is it just me that feel that hardware synth and workstation still got some live in them? may be yes... even though the VSTi is abundant, still the wow factor and the hands on experince is very different...

10 years from now or more, i may be still collecting good condition triton extreme, or m3 or may be other upcoming korg products.... yup, i'm definately got to stop this gear addiction..

tha care bros!

Hi everyone:

My trinity had gave to me eleven years of fun, music and money.

Here in Chile, all the keyboardist buy and sell so much stuff, and they are fooled by the ilimited number of features that ship with every new workstation, just to use the factory patches.

But for me, go deep inside my trinity gave so much strenght over the other players, and the moss (i know, in these days this synthesis is very limited)... i'm able to build any sound that i want.

So, guys at korg, what the hell do you do making this synth??? is marvelous, amazing, and is the last classic synth of the 20th century.

Really, Korg: thank you so much for making the silver beast.

Truly in love.

Froilán

Good to hear from you too Wily. I'm still serving the King of Kings man. Mostly playing worship with the Electric guitars, though I started with the Trinity since that's how I was able to get an open door into the worship band. I thank God that the guy I has sold my trinity to, changed his mind and resold it back to me.

Glad to hear that you still serve Him also and keep up the good work and love for your keys. Hey, one life to live, what you do for the Lord is what is going to be your legacy.

hi Wily, so nice to see another synth lover from the same part of the world. I love my Trinity too and funny that we have an almost similar gears, such as the JV-1080, D-50 and a MC-909 (a kind of 5050 in a groove box). From all the new synths, The Silver Beast is still irreplaceable for many of it's typical sounds.

Yeah, Wily is the man when it comes to the Trinity. In my early days of Trinity, he was such a blessing in teaching me how to get the best sound out of the sequencer. I fired up the old Silver Beast last night, and wow! Even the Reverb still sounds so lucious and crispy clear, it is jaw dropping. Im mostly using One man Band 10.0 by Jos Mas and Ableton Live.

I think we are so blessed to have technology moved so fast that it made it so much easier for us musicians to afford impressive equipment that we could only dream of in years past. Specially with all the VSTi's not to mention all the Free ones available on the NET like KVR audio.com, and other places, it is amazing that many of them are FREE. But to have the sounds of the Trinity there on board, oh man, they still hold their own special place in my heart.

I hope Korg brings back the Trinity, same case, same crown around the screen, but with distilled technology from Karma, and Oasys, oh boy, they would have a hot seller there.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. And many blessings to this awesome Korg company for continuing to make these beautiful workstations. I pray God blesses them as well.

What i heared trinity piano is not never good (VERY uggly but i found some stuff if i understand correctly correct programming makes much better piano tone) but korg is always good weird soundcapes ( i think pads and motion synths). and current models are what i heared some youtube videos are exlent for all other sounds but piano. and piano works some uses. based synthmania demos for example a94 mr. nightmare is excelent example what is korg best part in my eyes.
ps. my first synth exprience is Korg M1.

There are lots of other piano boards out there if it's piano you want. Add a PBS-Tri and you can do a bit better.

The Trinity sure makes up for it in so many other ways; simple said, it's an awesome synth!

this card i think dont work with tr-rack. and all synths have good and bad points. and like mix synths (also hardware and software).
