Mini KP Synth Looper help...please?!

Hello all-

THe manual for the Mini KP doesn't explain a whole lot and I have used samplers and loopers extensively in the past, so I am a bit unsure of how the Mini KP works in the Synth modes.

I hit the pad, which triggers sounds and I get a cool little thing going, but I fail to see where the "loop" factor comes in. Pressing the hold button only does just that-a hold of the last 1/2 second or so of audio...can't this thing loop and replay more in step with what the Kaossilator will do? I have one of those as well and it isn't nearly as confusing to loop with.

Can some one please help?

Thanks much!

miniKP doesn't have a recorder button.

If it's a miniKP (RED). You can't loop it.

If it's a KAOSSILATOR (Yellow) - the previous advice applies.

Yep, it's the MiniKp...so...if it won't loop-then what are all these presets called Loopers in the effects list?

It clearly can do audio looping as well as the synth looping on patch 99, but I just can't get my head around exactly how it works to make the most use of it...

Anyone?
