Hey all,
Is it possible to use a breath controller with a Triton? If so, what do I need? The Yamaha BC3?
Thanks for your help.

Yes you can, but you need an additional box of tricks to convert the BC outout into the appropriate Midi control changes. Like this

OK so I hook this up between my Triton and my computer?
Triton MIDI out -> MIDI in Breath controller -> MIDI out -> Soundcard MIDI in?
Currently I only have two midi cables

(mid in & out from Triton to midi in & out of computer's soundcard) so I need another cable too right?
And I need the BC3 headset thing I think. Anyone using this setup?
I read the BC can send:
1) Aftertouch 2) Pitch bend 3) Control change 4) System excl.
What is control change and system exclusive? (Im quite new to midi).

I'd like to achieve maximum expressiveness when playing my Triton. Currently I only have a sustain pedal, good for piano stuff, but other than that not very helpful. What should I get? This breath controller sounds good. Expression pedal good too? This way I can have two hands on the keyboard, control something with breath and something else with expression pedal. Right? Btw which expression pedal is the best and most reliable?
Thanks.
