Hey, Sharp, (more questions from the freak)
When I tried to purchase them and it wouldn't let me use two different credit cards i used. One was a Master card the other a Visa card. Any idea why that would happen?

Hi Sharp,
Just got my DVD. Thanks for the quick service. I just have a couple of questions, if I may.
1. My O reads DVDs- no problem. Besides loading PCG and KSC file, should I load the SNG file also?
2. When I loaded all three, my Oasys said Memory Overload about 2/3 through. I have the 2 gig memory. BUT I also have EX1, EX3, STR1,MOD7 installed. I know how to go to Global and uninstall EX1 or EX3. But if I want to use either can I unistall MOD7?
3. Lastly, I recently used my Karo Strings DVD. I never saved anything to a bank. howeve, the Program names remained in the Bank the sounds were loaded into. Now when I loaded your DVD, some of your sample sounds went into the Karo Bank. Does this usually happen?

The demo tunes you hear on my website for the 5 Layer Piano and the CP-80 are included in the SNG file. You don't need to load this, and it's only included as a bonus item if you wanted to hear the Piano's played on your OASYS, you could load the file.

You many not understand how much memory your OASYS has and what you already have loaded into your Keyboard. OASYS ASSAULT contains thousands of samples and it needs almost all the sample ram available.

STR-1, MOD-7, LAC-1 AL-1 CX-3 do not use Sample RAM so you can have these in memory and you won't experience any problems.

However EXs-1, EXs-2, & Exs-3 do use lots of sample RAM so you CANNOT have them loaded to memory when trying to load OASYS ASSAULT. I suggest you unload them, save your GLOBAL preference settings. Then load OASYS ASSAULT and choose the overwrite open when loading the KSC file.

KARO sounds will only work correctly when their KSC file is loaded to memory as their progarms will be pointing to very specific memory locations.

Same goes for OASYS ASSAULT. That too will only work correctly when it's KSC file is loaded.

So basically to get going you need to unload your EXs Libraries from memory and then load the OASYS ASSAULT PCG and KSC File. Choose the overwrite open if your asked when loading samples.

From your post I can see you don't really understand how programs and samples work together, so if you have any questions please fire away. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

No, a SNG file is very like a Midi File.
It's nothing more than just a recording of me playing a song using the 5 Layer Piano and the CP-80

Loading the PCG file and the KSC file is all you need to do to get all the sounds into memory.

You're absolutely right about my lack of knowledge about samples and the like.

No worries, just follow the instructions I gave you above and you will get the sounds loaded with no problems at all.

I've got an idea for a POLL. What percent of the Oasys capabilities does each member understand?

It is a very deep and amazing keyboard for sure.

Hi Sharp,
Very sorry to bother you again.
I was sucessful loading the DVD as per your instructions. I encountered one problem when recording on the sequencer.
I recorded about 5 measures of your first program (Evoc Planet).
I then Saved the 5 measures.
I then tried to create a Wave file by going to Audio In Sampling.
At the bottom of the screen under Sample Time, it only allowed me
01 min. Had my song been longer than 1 min, it would not have created a complete Wav file. Is that because the amount of samples was so much?
Is there anything I can do to increase the sample time?

Hello.

On the page where you set the sample lenght time, change the option "RAM" over to "Disk" and you can record for as long as 80 minutes.
