When I tried to purchase them and it wouldn't let me use two different credit cards i used. One was a Master card the other a Visa card. Any idea why that would happen?

Hi Ultimate Dj.

Just been talking with Pay Pal and they are telling me that if you have a valid card it will be accepted. You just need to make sure you are entering in all your details exactly as they are on the card, which includes how your name is written.

The 3 digit security code is also important, as is your address.

Kind Regards,
Sharp.

Hi Sharp,
Got up extra early to work with your DVD. BEAUTIFUL!
One question: I've often read that the sound of a Program changes when you use it in the Sequencer. Programs like "The Letter E" are gorgeous, however, when I use them in the sequencer they lose alot. I go to Copy From Program---Then check out what IFX and MFX---then check the appropriate boxes but still lose that beautiful depth in your Program. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks Frank

Hello.

Glad to hear your loving the sounds.
One question: I've often read that the sound of a Program changes when you use it in the Sequencer. Yes, that's down to how the Sequencer works and the fact that it must share the effect engine with all 16 sounds.

Rather than explain how to do it for this specific sound, I will tell you how to fix this for every sound using two methods.

*****************************
Method 1

Please look at this image.
Image
In SEQ Mode on the IFX page, touch the tab in the top right of the screen and select all the options you see me selecting in this image. Press OK. This copies in the Effects for the program sound selected.

If at this point you see an effect listed anywhere under where it says “Midi Routing” in this next image, then make the selection you me making here. I'm selecting IFX 1 for Track 1.
Image

If you did not see an effect listed, then look at what I'm doing here in image 3. Set these values to 127 each.

Image

Your sound should now work perfect in SEQ mode.
This example applies to any sound.

*****************************
Method 2
In Program Mode press the ENTER button and while still holding it down, press the Record button. This will copy the sound into SEQ mode and it should be ready for recording with all the effects setup. There is however a bug in the OASYS that prevents this method from working every time, so it's not recommended. I can only assume that KORG will have this fixed in the next OS update as it has been reported to them.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Yes, with the iPhone you can access full email and Internet wherever you go no days. You don't pay per minute either, you get around 1GB of bandwidth each month that you can use as you see fit. I would use only 300MB of that in a month to be honest and I use the Internet and Email on it a lot.

It's not the best phone, but the flat rate internet makes it very appealing.

then ? in that case, you must have a contract to use your phone. For instance, myself, use a kind of plastic card, and when needed I recharge my account, I suppose I could ask for the internet, but, I am affraid, this would goes by the minute...better if I check, and thanks for the explanation...If that is going that way, I, probably would find easier to use my Oasys, instead of a mobilephone...hi....hi.

Hi Sharp,
Sure could use your help again.
I went to record Program 023 (Galaxy of Dreams) on Track 1. Turned out great. I went to Track 2 to record Program 060 (Clair AAAAh). When I assigned the Program to Track 2, it didn't sound the same. If you have time, can you tell me what to do to get that Program to sound the same in Sequencer Mode?
Thanks again Frank

Sharp,

Just wanted to add that I did the Copy From Program and it didn't do any good.

Hi fjs714.

Please look at the following image. Note that the sound on track 1 uses IFX 1 to 4, and that the sound on track 2 used IFX 5 to 6.
Image

In this next image you can see my setting up track 3 for a new sound with it's effects. This is done by pressing the same tab as you have been using in the top right of the screen, and selecting “Copy Insert Effect” and setting it up like you see in this last image. Note I have my sound selected, “All Used” effects selected, and the destination will be IFX 7 because tracks 1 & 2 in the example show that IFX 1 to 7 are in use.
Image
Does that help ?.
You can apply this to any sound as a means for adding it to the SEQ mode and having it sound almost identical to PROG mode.

Please note that 100% success cannot be achieved here as the way the OASYS works the MFX is shared between all 16 tracks, unlike program more where the MFX is dedicated to just the sound you have selected.

So while you can work around the IFX's using the method above, there will be a point where you run out of IFX and can no longer import them. You have to manually assign the routing to different IFX's in the hopes you can get close to the sound you need.

Same goes for the MFX. You will have to share that with all 16 tracks so as soon as you copy in more than 1 sound, you need to find a balance that you can share the MFX engine with all 16 tracks.

Regards.
Sharp.

Yes, I would like that very much. I believe the results of something like that would be very interesting indeed.
