Midi file manipulation.

Post by cjp_24 »

Hi, I hope some one can help. I have a few midi files that have the drum track and counter melody that I want to use for my next tunes but the sheet music that I have of them is in the wrong key. What program can I use to transpose my midi's into the right key?

many thanks

Load the MIDI file into the Triton. You can then transpose the sequence.
You can save it as a .sng file or a .mid file.

How? please. with a combo loaded I have changed the pitch +/- of a program but when I load a midi I can see that feature?

You can load the MIDI song from MEDIA.
The individual tracks of the sequence can be transposed from
Trk Param, Pitch 1-8, 9-16.
The one problem you may run into is getting the Triton to play back the
MIDI file correctly.
If your file does play back correctly, then transpose the song tracks,
thereby transposing the entire song. :)
