Studio Vs Extreme

Hi I know its been debated on, but hear me out. I have a chance to buy an extreme and studio both the same price and the same condition. Both 76 notes. I have heard that the studio still sounds better than the extreme. All i need is answers from people that have owned both or from Jerry or someone that can tell me if the quality of raw multisamples is the same or not. I don't care about how many sounds, or build quality or the valve. Just raw sounds. I can't afford both but I do want one of them, just to use live and to compliment my Oasys. I understand the extreme has more samples but I just want quality within the samples and effects.
PLease help me as I really am confused after reading a lot of forums and I can't A and B them because they are quite far from my house. Also longevity or reliabilty would be a plus as I don't intend to sell anytime soon. Are the extra extreme sounds really worth it, or are the studio sounds still fatter or cleaner?
Thanks

I can't say which one sounds better, but I've owned both and would have to say,
that to my ears, its a tie.

I currently own the Extreme and the sounds are just as fat as on the Studio.....
to my ears.

You, of course will not get a clear answer, although Korg owners we are,
will swing one way or the other. You'll see what I mean as users, start to weigh in.
You'd really have to listen to the two, and decide for yourself.

However, if it comes down to more program choices, we all know the winner.

I own the classic & extreme, as far as i can tell , there is NO difference
between the two in terms of sound quality, I've A/B both, raw samples, programs, combis, FX, they both sound exactly the same.

If you dont care about the 32MB extra samples, best of EXB cards, valve force, then the studio would be a better choice because of its build quality.

Studio cant be compared to Extreme, its not even near, look at the facts,
if you forget everything else thats better still the 4xROM then Studio kills it.

I play a Studio regularly at church. I own an Extreme. If that doesn't tell you my opinion, I'll just say that to my ears the tube on the Extreme does add something useful. Also, I like the USB and other connections on the Extreme.

HI people thanks for all your replies. Ended up with the extreme 76. I got it really cheap and its almost new. Very nice keyboard.

Welcome to the club! Have fun. I spent the first few days just going through all the sounds that are included....another factor that influenced my choice.
