hi there, i have a kp3 when i speak into the mike i cannot hear any thing through a speaker or headphones, but it will record when sampling?? i duno if ive changed something as im still getting use to it?

Put the slider in the middle.
Speak into the mic after you press somewhere on the pad.
Can you hear yourself now?

there's a switch between mic and line level at the top on the left somewhere
