Foot Controller for Oasys

Post by Oyaster »

Hi all,

Do anyone of you use a MIDI foot controller with Oasys? I was thinking if it can be used to assign and change to specific programs / conbinations.

E.g. I came across this: Roland FC-300 MIDI Foot Controller, which has a number of switches and 2 padels. (not sure if it can be used with Oasys, but I just wanted to quote an example...) Any recommendations please?

I have the FC-300, very good controller. But I can't recommend it for program changing other than up/down. If others have different mileage chime in.

There seems to be similar function to the 10's Hold function you mentioned in the other thread, but it's more like a bit vague 5's Hold. :?

Thanks; can you please point me to the link to thread you mentioned?

Do you find FC 300 foot padel useful? I'm thinking to get it in place of XVP10 to avoid multiple padels..

I meant the thread where you describe the 10's Hold function.

Yes the FC-300 is very useful because you can assign Midi CC#'s as you like.
Except it has an annoying limit, the max CC# is 109, and so some of the OASYS CC#:s are beyond the controller.

I like the XVP-10's spring action you can enable via a screw on the bottom.
