Uh god, this again, you dont LOAD PCM, you load the PCGs or DKs itself
and they load everything they need, you have no bussines with PCM...
...this was all OVER here...why do people complicate their lives?

The User Pads were probably created on either a different keyboard or under an old version of the OS. At the time of creation the pads were linked to Sounds that were stored internally say in location "xx".
Now under OS 2 the sounds are stored somewhere else, say in location "yy".
So when you load the old .SET containing User Pads, they are trying to play Sounds that are no longer at that address. The Sounds moved and forgot to leave a forwarding address.
It is possible to "repair" the old .SET file, and the best person to do it is the person who created it. Or you can learn how to edit Pads yourself. I'm not volunteering anyway because it takes up too much time.
There is also a possibility that Korg have modified the file type/ data structure for Pads under OS2. I haven't a clue about it really because it's all undocumented and I can not keep up with the number of times previous .SET data has been made invalid by Korg when an OS update is delivered.
A data converter and data compatibility checker for .SET files is badly needed - and like many others, you can write a letter to Korg about it if you wish.
Best regards,
Rob
hi Rob
thannks for the info, i figured out wat wrong, well not me the person hu sent it told me. the user pads use sample and wen i loaded the samples i loaded them in different spots so it doesnt take over my samples so now i just hav to find out which samples for which user pad then go to style or edit user pads and the problem is fixed.
P.S im using Os 1.6.
thanksss
